Fast Food Calories Vs. Veggie and Fruit Calories


Fast food calories / junk food calories compared to calories in fruit and calories in vegetables:

A regular hamburger at McDonalds contain 250 calories, a Big Mac contains 540 calories, 100 grams or 3.5oz of chips contains 470 calories, one 1.6 oz hot dog contains about 150 calories (it might seem low, but a hot dog is very high in fat and saturated fat)...

One banana contains 97 calories, one kiwi contains 48 calories, one orange contains about 65-80 calories (depending on the size!), 1 cup pineapple contains 82 calories...

Cucumber - 100 grams/3.5 oz - contains 12 calories, tomatoes - 100 grams/3.5 oz - contains 20 calories, broccoli - 100 grams/3.5 oz - contains 26 calories, red bell pepper - 100 grams/3.5 oz - contains 27 calories...

Fast food also contains harmful fats such as trans fats and saturated fats. They also contain cholesterol. Fruits and vegetables don't contain any of those fats and no cholesterol either.

100 grams or 1 regular hamburger contains 250 calories

100 grams of hot dog contains 320 calories, but it depends on the type. And if you only eat one (1.6 oz) you will consume 150 calories rather than 320.

100 grams of cheese crackers contains 501 calories

Popsicle - store bought - contains 96 calories

100 grams of milk chocolate contains 555 calories

100 grams of dark chocolate contains 547 calories

100 grams of hard candies/suckers/lollies contains 394 calories

100 grams of strawberry jam contains 167 calories
