Fast Food Nutrition Facts and Fast Food Calories
Here I will talk about the effects of fast food, fast food calories and I will also give you fast food nutritional information. As you probably can guess fast food is not very nutritious, instead it is high in fat, saturated fat, cholesterol and sodium. Fast food also normally contains trans fats which are known to be very unhealthy for us. As an example, let's look at the fast food nutrition facts of a Big Mac from McDonalds just as an example: Big Mac (hamburger): 540 calories, 260 of those calories are from fat. Total fat 29 grams. Saturated fat 10 grams. Trans fats 1.5 grams. Cholesterol 75 mg. Sodium 1040 grams. Carbohydrates 45 grams. Fiber 3 grams. Sugars 9 grams. Protein 25 grams.
Effects of Fast Food Your diet should consist of about 2000 calories per day - unless you are a professional sportsman/woman. If your calorie intake exceeds 2000 calories, your body just gets too much of everything (fat, cholesterol, sodium etc.). Your body then stores the excess calories you eat in fat cells and you slowly but surely become overweight. Here are the % daily values that should not be exceeded for total fat, saturated fat, cholesterol and sodium: Keep your total fat intake lower than 65 grams Saturated fat intake lower than more 20 grams daily Cholesterol intake lower than 300 mg daily Sodium intake lower than 2400 milligrams daily If you eat too much fast food, keeping to these guidelines is not easy at all. A meal at for example McDonalds might already give you all the saturated fat your body can take per day. But you would go hungry if you would only have that one McDonalds meal that day, right? So you will of course have more food, and probably more saturated fat later on the same day. And that's when you take in too much bad fat. If you keep doing that for some time your body will eventually protest. Not only will you get fat, but all kinds of diseases are associated with this kind of eating too. For example heart disease and diabetes...

Effects of Junk Foods Fast food like pizza, hamburgers, hot dogs etc. as well as junk food like candies, cookies etc. are all bad for us. I have been eating pretty ok for a while now, skipping most of the bad stuff, but yesterday I ate a bag of candies (liquorice, chocolates and whatever else was in there). When I was done I didn't feel so good, and after about half an hour I felt kind of "foggy" in my mind and I also had a slight feeling of being down/sad for no reason. From now on I think I will not touch junk food - at least not for a loooong time. Instead I want to eat stuff that makes me happy! Like fruits and vegetables. This was the first time my body gave a clear reaction after having eaten junk... at least from what I can remember - ok, if I think about it I do remember one day when I was a kid when I ate so many candies that I threw up! And oh, I also threw up one time after a garden party where I had been eating grilled sausages... Then I was about 7 years old I think...
