Pineberry, the new cooler strawberry?
Now lets talk about the newest fruit on the market - The Pineberry FruitWhat people now are calling the Pineberry, is actually a type of strawberry. The difference is that it is white with red dots and it tastes very different too! The taste of the berries is quite pineapple-like, and that is why it got the name Pine-berry :) The Pineberry was found in South America and then cross-bread with regular strawberries. It is now sold in supermarkets in the UK. Some people have reported digestive problems and allergic reactions after having eaten this new fruit - the Pineberry.

The name is made up by the UK market, even though there already exists something called the Pineberry, but it is extinct a long time already. The Latin name is Rubus sylvestris. And that one is nothing like this new Pineberry - as it is believed to have looked more like a raspberry with a color of dark green to almost black.
