Fun Nutrition Facts - Fun Food Facts :)

Nutrition is fun! Making food is fun and eating food is fun! I just looove eating good food, don't you?

Fun Nutrition Facts for You

Vegetables and fruits are the healthiest ever, and we can eat as many of them as we like!

If you happen to be really hungry right now, I'm sure you would not mind a large fruit salad? But I don't think you would be interested in eating as much fruit salad as the salad made in Peru a few years ago... that salad weighed 8,866 lb (about 4 tons)! Crazy!!! I hope they had fun eating it!

Elephants eat a lot! But only healthy stuff! At an annual elephant parade in Thailand, 269 elephants ate over 110,000 lb or 50 tons of fruits and veggies!

Can you imagine? The largest nutrition lesson ever had more than 9000 participants! The lesson was held at an event in Germany some years ago.

Did you ever make yourself a big bowl of vegetable soup?
Sorry to dissapoint you, but you probably only thought it was a big bowl of soup because you didn't know how big the LARGEST vegetable soup in the world was? Want me to tell you? 5,863 gallons - which is 26,658 liters!
Its hard to imagine how much soup that really is! This soup was made by DENK Communicatie in the Netherlands.

Latley I have started using my grater a lot! I just love it! I can make so many different salad combinations with it!

Today I made a new salad that I have named "Veggie Fun".

Benji liked the dressing so much that he asked me to make more dressing and then ate it just like that (without any salad) :)

He didn't really love the salad, but he thought it was ok. He ate about half of the grated veggies plus all the cherry tomatoes.

So if I make this salad a few times, he will probably get used to it and eventually like it and maybe even ask for it!

A fun nutrition facts page also need some recipes, so here is the recipe of the salad I made today:

Veggie Fun for 2 people

1 cucumber
1 sweet red pepper
1 carrot
10 cherry tomatoes
About 1/2 cup or about 1 dl grated white kale

Grate all the ingredients except for the cherry tomatoes.

Put it all in a large bowl.

Toss in the dressing.

Cut the cherry tomatoes in halves and put them in the bowl too. Done!

I also made another salad today. The salad recipe I used (or actually made up) makes a really good and very simple fruit salad. I could eat loads of it.

Fruit Salad for 2 people

2 large bananas cut into small pieces

About 40 red grapes cut into halves

About 1/4 of a watermelon, cut up

Place everything in a large bowl and toss together.

Serve and eat :)

Oh, one more thing! Did you ever grow your own carrots? How big did they get? Joe Atherton from the UK once participated in the National Giant Vegetable Championship with an almost 6 m long carrot! The exact measurement was 5.84 meter or 19.16 feet! He made a world record there - the longest carrot in the world!
