Did you know, the guava fruit is called as the "apple of the tropics"? This fruit contains a high amount of Vitamin C, higher than the RDA and three times higher than the vitamin C content of an orange. One cup of guava contains of about 375 milligrams of Vitamin C. The same amount of orange only has 83 milligrams.



The guava is also high in dietary fiber and contains a higher concentration of lycopene than tomatoes and watermelon.
