Healthy Nutrition

- Healthy Nutrition and How To Start To Live Healthier -

Wanting to learn more about how healthy fruit is and about the vegetable and fruit nutrition facts is for sure a very good first step when going toward a healthier lifestyle.

It means you are soon ready to start living the healthy life you always wanted.

Apart from sleeping well, exercising a few times per week and not stressing yourself so much over work or financial problems, good nutrition is really important in order to keep you healthy.

A good way to start eating healthier is by incorporating more fruits (and vegetables too!) into your diet.

The current recommendation is five fruits (or servings of fruit) and five vegetables per day. And of course that is a good guideline to follow and a good start, but I do recommend many more than that though.

Eating five or more fruits per day should not be a problem at all, they taste so good, and we also know they are so healthy for us!

For a better understanding why fruits are healthy, go to fruit nutrition facts.

If you want to incorporate more fruits into your diet but find it difficult, you could make a smoothie part of your daily meal plan.

You could also eat a fruit salad once per day.

To get inspiration and ideas on healthy recipes go to the recipes section of this website. There you can for example find healthy vegetable recipes

Sometimes you forget to eat fruits or vegetables for a few days, but don't worry – it happens. Instead when you realize it, make sure you eat a little more of them the following days :)

Want to be super healthy?
To base your diet on fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds is the most healthy nutrition option, and eating mostly those foods and not much other foods would make you super healthy. But be sure to eat enough, so you accidentally don't eat too little calories a day. Because then you will not be able to stick with that way of eating for very long.

But if you still want to keep eating for example sandwiches, cereal, chocolate etc., you need to know that those kind of processed foods can contain substances that are not very good for us, like molds and even lead (resulting from the production and handling process). So if you can, try to find time to make/bake these foods yourself and only use the best organic ingredients – ok, I know chocolate is not easy to make, or even possible to make, but before eating too much of it, read this article on nutrition facts about chocolate and the bad sides of chocolate.

For cereal alternatives, see this article: Cereal Nutrition Facts

Another healthy nutrition tip is not to eat late in the evenings or in the night. During the evening and night time the body has its "absorption time" and is working on the food you have been eating during the day. It does not have time to deal with more food coming in right then. So stop eating late. You can drink water and if you really need to because of hunger, take something that has a short digestion time, like watery fruits, melon, ripe pears or kiwi and make sure you chew well.

After going through all the articles on this website, you will learn how many minerals, vitamins and other good stuff fruits and vegetables contain and how much good they do to you. And when you know all that, you will sure want to eat more of them.
