I tried a vegetable diet to lose weight

by Jamie
(US)

I tried a vegetable diet to lose weight because vegetables are foods that contain vitamins and minerals that your body needs.

I chose this diet because vegetables are low in fat, low in calories, and higher in fiber.

With vegetables containing a higher source of fiber, I thought that would make me feel better.

Being on a vegetable diet didn't give me any more energy than when I eat anything else.

I also tried a liquid fast of fruits and vegetables where you made smoothie drinks. This by far raised my sugar, and cause me to feel sluggish. I did however lose seven pounds with this liquid diet in only two days. I did feel like my body went through a detoxification process, but after the week was over I was done.

What really helped me was walking a mile a day. I think having that fresh air and brisk walk helped me to get a better insight that I really need to lose weight.

I think exercise is the key along with eating healthier.
