More on Mcdonalds and Mcdonalds Nutrition Facts...

In a nation of fast food junkies, Mcdonalds has managed to successfully thrive for generations.

Overweight and unhealthy North Americans have however put a bit of a dint in the Mcdonalds armor.

In the documentary 'Super Size Me' proved that Mcdonalds' popular menu was the source of serious health related issues. During the month long documentary, filmmaker Morgan Spurlock experienced the same health issues facing millions of Americans who are eating a Mcdonalds menu more than once a week.

After that movie came out, Mcdonalds has been on a mission to clean up their menus and to introduce healthier options.

In 2007, Mcdonalds introduced their new trans-fat-free oil in place of the traditional oil previously used. But as you can see above, trans fats are still present in the McDonalds food, even though they may be in much lower quantities than before.

The healthy options introduced in the recent years include salads, fruits and spinach wraps.
