Never Thought Of Giving It A Name

Banana Apple Berries Protein Spinach Smoothie

Banana Apple Berries Protein Spinach Smoothie

I never thought of giving it a name, but maybe Banana Apple Berries Protein Spinach Smoothie!

When I make smoothies I don't necessarily aim for good taste or a pretty color, but for nutritional value.

Not sure which category this should be posted in since it is a combination smoothie of fruits, veggies, protein powders, dairy etc.

I don't live off of smoothies 100% of the time, but since 2003 smoothies have been the main part of my diet.

Here is a smoothie recipe I like.

It is my main meal every other day (sometimes 2 or 3 days in a row):

All the following stuff goes in a blender, and water is added.

Banana Apple Berries Protein Spinach Smoothie Recipe

- 1 apple
- 1 banana
- Mixed Berries (blueberries, raspberries etc.)
- Grapes
(Or any other fruit of you like. Sometimes I don't add all the above, just a combination.)
- Raw, organic spinach
- High quality rice protein powder
- Pea protein powder
- Hemp protein powder
(Sometimes sprouted Amaranth powder and sprouted Quinoa powder. And sometimes I use whey protein isolate instead of the above mentioned protein powders)
- A few scoops of raw oatmeal
- A little honey
- Sometimes natural peanut butter
- Sometimes I also add super greens powder to the mix

There are many variations you can do. For example, you can also add raw beats and raw carrots if you want. You can add yogurt and/or cottage cheese etc.

You need a large blender.

Once it is all mixed in the blender, simply drink.

It is nice and filling and there is no need to eat between meals (no need for junk food, chips, sweets etc.)

I usually have this meal every other day for dinner, and then eat other stuff on interchanging days, and the occasional yummy Pizza, or fish or turkey etc.

But in general if you eat healthy and avoid junk food (chips, sweets, refined sugars, saturated fat and fat meats, and huge amounts of sodium etc.) and avoid alcohol (fat preservative), and coffee etc., and exercise often and maintain a stress free life, not only is the aging process considerably slowed down, but you won't gain weight as you age (unless you are working out with weights - then you will put on muscle weight which actually will burn fat).
