Nutrition Activities for Kids - a game, videos and recipes for you :)
Here are some fun activities for you - that will teach you about nutrition at the same time as having fun!
We start with a salad video recipe...
As you probably know, salads are really healthy. They are actually not that hard to make. Did you ever try?
What you could do is, take your favorite vegetables and some fruits too, cut them up and place in a bowl. Toss them together and eat! Yummy!
Here is a great Kale Salad recipe for you:
For more healthy recipes, go the this page: Nutrition For Kids Once you are there, scroll down to about the middle of the page and there you will see the recipes section - after the videos.
Do you know that making your own juice at home is healthier than buying juice at the store? Making orange juice is easy and fun! You should try it! A really cool tool to have in the kitchen is a blender! If you don't have a blender at home, you should ask your parents to get one.
A blender can be used to make so many different yummy smoothies and other fun and healthy stuff. And it is really easy!
If you would want to make something healthy that tastes almost like ice cream, take 2 frozen bananas and about 5 frozen strawberries, place them in the blender and add a little water. When it is all blended together, pour into a bowl and taste it. It is soooo good!
You should remember to eat as many fruits and vegetables as you can every day. Maybe the smoothie game below will make you feel like going to the kitchen right now and grabbing a fruit for yourself to eat? And you could also use the recipes they have there to make new smoothies - or why not design one yourself and name it after you!
I really like Isabelle's nutrition video, so I also wanted to add it to this Nutrition Activities for Kids page :)
And finally here is a song for you...
