Nutrition Facts About Apples

Nutrition Facts About Apples/Apple Nutrition Facts

Let's face it. Most people do not get enough fruit or fiber daily.

Most of us are aware though that the body requires a certain amount of minerals, vitamins and fiber daily. Health professionals encourage their patients to add more fruits to their daily meals.

Adding more fruits to your diet (and vegetables too!) is certainly one excellent way of eating healthy.

Many might wonder if there is one perfect fruit that supplies the daily amount of minerals, fiber and vitamins. And many health enthusiasts consider the apple the perfect fruit for just about everyone.

Apples

Apples are very nutritious. A raw apple is actually one of the most nutritious foods around.

For centuries the apple has been considered as not only healthy but as a very healing fruit.

Research shows that the typical apple supplies a fair amount of Vitamin C, potassium and fiber.

So, don't forget to buy some apples the nest time you go shopping :)

An apple is also a convenient snack. If you buy organic apples, you don't need to peel them and you can eat them just like that.

When you are done eating your apple, you should rinse your mouth with some water. Otherwise it could hurt your teeth in the long run.

Pectin

An apple is also a great source for pectin. Pectin has been found to reduce the levels of cholesterol and insulin in the body.

Antioxidants

Research also shows that the mighty apple is a good source for antioxidants. Antioxidants are thought to protect the body and inhibit cancerous cell growth.

All the above findings demonstrate that the apple is a perfect health food and an excellent source of fiber, vitamins and minerals.
