Apples are a perfect brain-food!

The pectin we find in apples help our body with the elimination of metals such as mercury, lead and cadmium. The pectin in apples is also good for your heart.

Apples contain potassium which is for example good for the muscles, but potassium also take out the weariness of heavy eyelids. So in a way you could say that potassium is a anti-aging mineral.

When you eat an apple fruit, the chewing actually cleans your teeth, but remember to drink some water afterwards to stabilize the PH in your mouth, otherwise you could get dental problems later on.

A study at the Michigan University shows that an apple a day not only keeps you from catching a cold, it also keeps nervousness, anxiety and headache away. In the apple fruit we find lots of flavonoids that protects airway and mucous surfaces. I would advice you to eat a few apples a day for an even more powerful effect!

The Apple Fruit

Apples are green, yellowish or red - there are many different varieties. There are for example yellow Chinese apples.

Apples grow in many parts of the world, but they prefer a cold to mild climate. The red pigment that the apple skin contains is very healthy.

All different kind of apples are healthy but the red ones are especially healthy. The darker the better.

It would be best to buy organic apples so you don't have to peel them. In the apple skin there is lots of fiber and vitamins that you don't want to miss.
