Orange Fruit
Orange fruit, oranges nutrition facts, facts about oranges and more...
The orange is a great tasting, sweet, deep yellow fruit. But the taste of the orange depends on the variety and also on the time it was picked. When oranges are shipped to other countries, they are picked unripe. This makes them taste milder than they normally would and not as sweet. Sometimes even a little bitter.
When I lived on Mallorca I for the first time tasted the most wonderful oranges... picked straight off an orange tree. This taste was SO different from the taste I was used to... so much sweeter and just... indescribable.
