Pureed Fruits and Veggies

by Terry
(AZ, USA)

I would like to know if there is a resource for nutritional information on pureed fruits and vegetables including those that have good value in the seeds.

I recently purchased a vita mix blender and have watched many demonstrations and been told how the blender breaks down what you put in it to the cellular level and allows our body to absorb more nutrients, which normally we would pass through the body instead of absorbing them.

It does seem to make sense and I think if there is information out there on this that it would be of great interest!

Pureed Fruits and Veggies
by: Chef T

Yes, first I would like to commend you on your new purchase of the vitamix blender. It is definitely a great investment. Ok, to shed some light on your question, yes, when we puree our fruits and veggies we are absorbing the nutrients, vitamins, enzymes and minerals easier and quicker. We are also allowing our digestive system to rest and allowing our body the time to repair, regenerate, rebuild.

Beautiful question
by: Anonymous

Hello~

I do not currently know of any resource that has nutritional information of pureed fruits and vegetables. However, since most of the nutritional information is based on the whole food, it would be safe to say to use that as your guide.

So, if your looking for a high nutritional content, you would reference the most nutritionally packed fruits and vegetables and use those in your juices.
