3. Check the strawberries if any of them have blemishes and molds.

4. When you get home, be sure to place them in a container before putting them in the refrigerator to maintain their freshness.

5. Remove those that are overripe because they will affect the other berries and might be a cause for early decaying.

6. Strawberries should be eaten within two days after buying.

7. Before using the strawberries wash them carefully. It is recommended to first wash them with hot water and then with cold, to remove as much of the chemicals as possible (if the strawberries are not organic of course).
